Riverhill on Christmas Day 2013

During late December 2013 we experienced very high rainfall and winds which resulted in a lot of local flooding. Painshill roundabout and Downside Bridge Road were both closed for a time, as was Mill Road by Cobham Mill. The swans didn't seem to mind and seemd quite happy swimming up and down the flooded road.

Riverhill in flood - Christmas 2013 We were pleased to see that the Riverhill platform stood up to the flooding and high river currents.

Even on Christmas day, the local community were able to make use of the platform.
