Additional Information:Son of Edward and Susan Goddard Welsh.
Born in Cobham and worked at Westminster Bank in Cobham before the war. Killed serving on H.M.S. Curacoa, in collision with ocean liner R.M.S. Queen Mary off the coast of Ireland. The cruiser, which held a steady course whilst the Queen Mary was zig-zagging, was cut in two by the liner and sank with the loss of around 337 men.
