Additional Information:Son of Arthur Edward Sherlock, and stepson of Jessie Ida Sherlock, of Cobham, Surrey.
Living at 80 Tartar Road, Cobham in 1939. Embarked for France in April, 1940 with 1/6th East Surrey Regiment. By 15th May stationed east of Brussels, the battalion had by 23rd May withdrawn to the French border near Mouscron and by 27th May to Dunkirk. Presumed to have died of wounds on or after 25th May, 1940.
