Additional Information:Son of Fred and Charlotte Overton, of Cobham, Surrey.
Born in Cobham. Taken prisoner by the Japanese on 15th February, 1942 on the fall of Singapore. On 30th October, 1942 sent from Changi, Singapore to work on the construction of the Burma-Siam railway. Died in hospital from malaria and dysentery. Buried at Chungkai, one of the base camps along the railway and site of a hospital built by Allied prisoners of war.
