Additional Information:Husband of Doris Marguerite Bennell, of Byfleet, Surrey.
Captured by the Japanese in Java and forced to work on the construction of an airfield on Ambon Island in the Moluccas. Killed on board the Japanese hell ship Suez Maru. The ship was torpedoed and sunk by a U.S. submarine. Around 250 POWs survived and were systematically shot in the water by the Japanese.
