Taken prisoner of war on the fall of Singapore. In May, 1943 sent from Changi, Singapore to Japan on Wales Maru. Died from dysentery at Fukuoka No. 6 Branch Camp Mizumaki, Japan, his date of death recorded there as 10th July, 1944. The camp held POWs who worked at the Takamatsu Coal Mine, often deep underground.
