Regulation 19: Draft Elmbridge Local Plan 2022-2037
Elmbridge Borough Council is now seeking representations on whether the draft Local Plan is legally compliant and sound. This stage allows interested parties to comment on the plan before it is submitted to the Planning Inspector.
The representation period started yesterday on 17 June 2022 and ends at 4pm on 29 July 2022.

Adrian Wise our planning officer will be studying all the documents over the next few days and he shall be posting comments and advice to our members should they wish our thoughts in framing their own comments.
The basic tenet of the draft plan is that to build the number of dwellings currently required by government would damage the green belt, climate targets and plans and the residential environment.
We support this approach and furthermore, following strong representations from us, the land at Cobham Rugby Ground at the top of Fairmile Lane has now been given the status of a green protected space
