CCHT Chairman Honoured

We are delighted to announce that our Chairman, Gerry Acher CBE LVO, has been honoured with a Knighthood in the 2012 New Year Honours for charitable services.

Gerry is involved with a number of major charities for which his contribution is recognised in this honour.

These include:-

    • Vice-chairman of Motability, the charity which helps some 600,000 disabled people become mobile, and chairman of its oversight committee.
    • Until recently, Chairman of the Royal Society of Arts during its period of major change.
    • Chairman of the Heart of the City, a charity founded by the late Lord George and funded by the City of London Corporation to increase the impact of corporate social responsibility in London.
    • President Young Epilepsy (formerly the National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy-NCYPE-) the charity with the sole aim to support the 112,000 children and young people with epilepsy in the UK.
    • Chairman of the London Climate Change Partnership.

We are very fortunate to have such an experienced Chairman leading the Cobham Conservation and Heritage Trust and would like to congratulate Gerry and Joyce on behalf of the Trust.
